3 Books to Read This Summer
When summer hits, it’s time to slow it down, enjoy a simpler pace, and, if you’re anything like me, sneak in some time outside in my favorite chair with a good read. One of my goals for the year is to read more. I love to read – if you know anything about me and my INTJ personality, it’s that time alone with some coffee and a good book refreshes this girl’s soul.
Today, I’m sharing a few of the books that I’m either currently reading or are on my list to read over this sweet summer season.
The Life Giving Home by Sally and Sarah Clarkson: Mother and daughter team, Sally and Sarah, share how we can enjoy and celebrate every month of the year with our families, and make our homes spaces of joy, creativity, and belonging.
Walking With Purpose: Seven Priorities that Make Life Work by Lisa Brenninkmeyer: This was such an important read for me. Lisa helps to identify the key priorities in life, so we can do what matters first.
The Broken Way: A Daring Path into the Abundant Life by Ann Voskamp: I’m still working on my list of One Thousand Gifts, and in the process am learning that just because something hurts doesn’t mean it’s something to run away. Often times, those areas that hurt do so because we need to lean in and allow God to heal in ways that only He can. Ann helps us to see God’s purpose in everything, and how He guides us, not around the pain in life, but through it.
